My name is Mitiku Tamre. I am a Master of Science in Epidemiology and Biostatistics student at The University of Cape Town, with a passion for advancing public health and improving health outcomes. Committed to lifelong learning, I strive to continuously enhance my skills and knowledge in the dynamic field of epidemiology and biostatistics. I am driven to improve population health and work toward a future where equitable access to quality healthcare is a reality for all. I aspire to contribute significantly to advancing public health research and practice, making a positive impact on global health and clinical research.
Currently, I am working as a research assistant in the perioperative cardiovascular research group within the Department of Anesthesia and Perioperative Medicine. In this role, I am primarily focused on data management, contributing to critical research that informs best practices in the perioperative care of cardiovascular patients.
